Longtime Pacific Theatre director Angela Konrad of WIT, JESUS HOPPED THE "A" TRAIN and this season's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR is premiering a new play and a new theatre company this weekend.
Dark Glass Theatre proudly presents:
disPLACE: Refugee Stories in Their Own Words
How far would you go to protect your family? Follow the real-life experiences of refugees to Canada in this brand new production created at Trinity Western University. Five actors transform into multiple characters in this unforgettable journey, knit together by original music and verbatim testimony.
Discover the personal, human stories hidden beneath the headlines. From Mennonite immigrants who fled Europe after World War II, to the current global refugee crisis, the stories captured in disPLACE shine a light on the bonds that tie us all together.
After the performance, you're welcome to stay for a talkback with the cast, moderated by a specialist in refugee issues.
