We are pleased to be hosting our first group show beginning January 3. Curated by Shari-Anne Gibson and Laura Breukelman, the show will feature works by a variety of local Vancouver artists. All are welcome to join us for the opening on January 5, between 8:00-10:00pm. There will be live jazz by the Nelson Boschman Trio, and wine and cheese will be served in the Alma VanDusen and Peter Kaye rooms at VPL (350 W. Georgia).

Here is the event page on Facebook.

A word about the title & theme of the show from our curators: We have invited visual artists working two-dimensionally in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking or mixed media, to investigate the theme of renewal and restoration. The idea is not to mask or cover over something that is inherently flawed or useless, but a sort of discovery and excavation of that which was good but has been lost. We are looking for fresh approaches in articulating our common desire and hope for newness through diversity of interpretation and metaphor.
