Craig Erickson (second from left) in Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? (Blackbird Theatre)
Craig Erickson & The Sermon On The Mount
Integration Forum, Trinity Western University, Freedom Hall
Friday February 5, noon to 1pm
Professional actor and TWU alumnus and faculty member, Craig Erickson, will share with us his performance of "The Sermon On The Mount," and reflect on his experience of presenting this "simple but powerful" piece in various contexts: its strange evolution, and the effect its "strong counter-cultural ideas" have had on him as an artist and a Christian.
Craig and TWU Theatre have been friends for a long time. He was in many productions while an English major here, including playing Thomas More in A Man For All Seasons. After completing an MFA at Southern Methodist University, he worked in New York, Stratford and the Shaw Festival before moving back home to Vancouver. Three times nominated for the Jessie Richardson award, his work here has included The Furniture of Heaven, God's Man In Texas and Grace at Pacific Theatre, Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolfe and Peer Gynt at Blackbird Theatre, Julius Caesar (Mad Duck Equity Co-op), and numerous roles at Bard On The Beach. Craig is an adjunct faculty member in the Theatre Department.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Especially our beloved FPSPA (SAMC!!) colleagues.
