Mar 5-20 | Diary of Anne Frank | Gallery 7

Truly a soul food show - indeed, a great partner to REFUGE OF LIES, come to think of it. And look who's playing Otto Frank - our very own Glen Pinchin! Who played two generations of Kirbys in our last two spring shows, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU and YOU STILL CAN'T. And another PT regular - in the audience, if not onstage - is John Dawson, playing Mr. Van Daan. (Terrific poster, eh?)

Gallery 7 presents...
THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
March 5 & 6, 11 - 13, 18 - 20, 2010
Discount Matinees: March 6 & 13 @ 2:00 PM

The Netherlands. World War II. An Annex. This is the tragic and compelling story of a young Anne Frank and her family's attempt to flee Nazi tyranny by hiding in the confines of a secret annex above a factory. A story of courage, love and human resiliency emerges as Anne ruminates about their experience. Despite the atrocities of the war torn-chaos just beyond the walls of their hide-out, a young woman discovers hope, joy and a truth about life that more than often escapes our modern understanding.

"A lovely tender drama....Strange how the shining spirit of a young girl now dead can filter down through the years and inspire a group of theatrical professionals in a foreign land." - NEW YORK TIMES

"There is so much beauty, warm humor, gentle pity...in THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK that it is difficult to imagine how this play could be contained in one set on one stage...this is a fine drama." - NEW YORK NEWS
